about

“Tourism is sin, and travel on foot virtue.” (Werner Herzog)
Meet the wanderer. He is on a journey. We do not know who he is or where he is going but with a happy song on the lips he cannot be shaken. Does the song make him that strong? Or merely oblivious? There is disgusting pain. Is it the wanderer who is in pain or those he encounters? What we do know about the disgusting pain is that it is everywhere. And always this guilt! What guilt? Whose guilt? The wanderer’s? Somebody else’s? We don’t know. But everywhere there is nothing but disgusting pain and always this guilt! However, with that happy song on the lips the wanderer cannot be shaken, can he?
